Violation of the veterinarian of Hyderabad, murder shocks Parliament

NEW DELHI: The issue of rape and murder of one was raised in both houses on Monday.

Lok sabha Speaker said he has given permission to discuss the matter after Question Hour.

On the other hand, lawmakers across party lines condemned the horrible act and called for stricter laws against the perpetrators.

The burned body of the veterinarian was found on the outskirts of Shadnagar in the Ranga Reddy district of Telangana last week. According to the preliminary investigation, the police suspect that the doctor was sexually assaulted before being charred.

Police on Friday arrested four people involved in the alleged case of rape and murder of the veterinarian.

Earlier today, Party legislator Bharatiya Janata, Prabhat Jha, gave a Zero Hour Notice in Rajya Sabha about the increase in crime against women, especially the incident in Hyderabad.

Aam Aadmi party parliamentarian, Sanjay Singh, issued a notice of business suspension in the Upper House under rule 267, on increasing crime against women and the Hyderabad incident.

Trinamool Congress, TMC, Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP), Shiv Sena, Congress have also given an Adjournment Motion Notice in Lok sabha over "gang rape and killing of girls in Hyderabad".
