PM Modi extends greetings to BSF staff on their Survey Day

NEW DELHI: on the occasion of BSF, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended greetings to staff for diligently protecting borders.

On Sunday, Modi tweeted on Twitter: Greetings to all BSF staff and their families on BSF Uprising Day. This force has been diligently protecting our borders. During natural disasters and crisis situations, BSF staff has always worked hard to serve our citizens. My best wishes to the BSF family!

The BSF, established on December 1, 1965, is a paramilitary force charged with protecting the land border of India during peacetime and preventing transnational crime. It is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Interior (MHA). It is currently the largest border surveillance force in the world.
