Shahid Kapoor's 'Kabir Singh' overcomes Hrithik Roshan's 'War', Akshay Kumar's 'Housefull 4' and Salman Khan's 'Bharat' to set this record at the box office

This year saw several Bollywood actor who experiments with his avatar on the screen and opts for movies with a good narrative. Even the public was entertained with some stellar performances with big B-town fans like Salman Khan , Akshay Kumar , Hrithik Roshan they left with their respective films that managed to leave a mark on the ticket office .

Shahid Kapoor, whose last performance 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' that did not impress the audience last year, joined South Director Sandeep Vanga for the new Hindi version of his hit Telugu movie 'Arjun Reddy'. The film that also featured Kiara Advani in the lead role managed to entertain the audience and had exceptional success on the domestic circuit.

According to a report on, 'Kabir Singh' which was touted as a dark horse by trade experts has managed to top the list of highest-grossing films in multiplexes of 2019. The film which did outstandingly well in metro regions managed to surpass the likes of Hrithik Roshan 's' War ', Akshay Kumar' s 'Housefull 4' and 'Mission Mangal', Ranveer singh 's' Gully Boy ', Salman Khan' s 'Bharat' and others to become the highest-grossing film in multiplexes this year.

With a total collection of Rs 221.52 crore of multiplexes, Shahid's film is well ahead of the high-octane action movie 'War' by Hrithik and Tiger Shroff, which settled for second place with Rs 217.25 million rupees, followed by Vicky Kaushal 's' Uri: The Surgical Strike' and Akshay's films' Mission Mangal 'and' Housefull 4 '.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Shahid is ready to star in the Hindi remake of Nani's sports drama 'Jersey'. This has already excited fans and now all eyes are on Sasha's next movie.
