Shashi Tharoor welcomes the SC's decision to refer the Sabarimala problem to a larger bank
NEW DELHI: Main leader of the Congress Shashi tharoor On Thursday he welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court to refer the annoying issue to a larger bank and said that the problems involved have implications for the practice of all religions.
The Supreme Court said a bank of seven judges will reexamine various religious issues, including the entry of women to the Sabarimala temple and mosques and the practice of female genital mutilation in the Dawoodi Bohra community.

While the five-judge bank unanimously agreed to refer religious matters to a larger bank, it gave a 3: 2 split decision on petitions seeking a review of the September 2018 apex court decision that allows women of all ages enter the Sabarimala sanctuary in Kerala.
