The net profit of coal in India in the second quarter increased by 14% to Rs 3,522 million rupees
NEW DELHI: State Indian coal on Monday it reported a 14 percent increase in consolidated net profit of Rs 3,522.7 rupees for the quarter ended September.
The net profit of the company stood at 3,084.54 rupees in the same period of the previous year, he said in a regulatory file .
However, its total income decreased to Rs 22,012.94 million rupees in the July-September quarter of fiscal year 2019-20 of Rs 23,486.35 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
Despite the fall in total income, Indian coal 's net profit increased as its tax outgo declined significantly to Rs 754.25 crore from Rs 2,031.71 crore in the year-ago quarter.
