The NDA government cannot take credit for Ayodhya's verdict: Uddhav Thackeray
MUMBAI: Shiv Sena The chief said Friday that the Union government led by BJP cannot take credit for the long-awaited Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court is scheduled to deliver its verdict on Saturday in the politically sensitive case of the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute in Ayodhya. The higher court is likely to pronounce the ruling at 10.30 a.m.
We had asked the government to enact a law on the construction of Ram Temple (in Ayodhya) but the government did not do that. Now, when the SC will pronounce the verdict, the government cannot take credit for it (even if the verdict favors the pro-temple side, Thackeray told reporters.
