UP PF fiasco: Why was the BJP government in UP quiet for two years?

LUCKNOW: Intensifying its attack on the Uttar Pradesh government against the investment of the energy employees' pension fund in the delinquent company DHFL, the Congress party threw some specific questions before CM on Tuesday.

While the national secretary general of the party, Priyanka Gandhi, questioned why the government was sitting quietly for the past two years, the head of the UP Congress, Ajay Kumar Lallu, said the issue is not just about the money earned With the effort of the people, it also relates to national security. the money was invested in an organization that supposedly has links with Dawood's assistant Iqbal Mirchi.

In a tweet on the issue of DHFL, Priyanka Gandhi said: “According to a source, the pension fund was invested in DHFL on March 24, 2017 days after the BJP formed its government in UP. Now, the question that must be answered is why the government was silent for two years. ” Priyanka asked the government to tell the employees how they will recover the money that cost them so much to earn.

He also asked the authorities to clarify whether the money of other government defaulters was invested in any of these companies or not. You will have to give an answer, after all, the matter is related to the hard earned money of the people, he declared challenging the government.

Later, the president of the UP Congress, Ajay Kumar Lallu, intensified his attack on the energy department minister, Shrikant Sharma. “The investment in DHFL is more than the misuse of power to risk money earned with people's efforts. This is about national security, since public money was put in a bank that supposedly has links with Dawood's assistant Iqbal Mirchi, ”Ajay told TOI.

Demanding a detailed investigation into the matter, he stated that Shrikant Sharma went to Dubai between September and October 2017. Questioning the purpose of Sharma's visit, the head of the UP Congress said: the trip took place at a time when the DHFL money was being diverted to Sunblink Real Estate private limited (a property company associated with DHFL and under EOW scrutiny). The purpose of the official visit of the energy minister must be proven.
