‘Panipat’ trailer: Twitterati notes that Arjun Kapoor-Sanjay Dutt's protagonist has the same set as Hrithik Roshan's ‘Jodhaa Akbar’
Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker is back with another movie that will take the public to the past. The preview of his next Panipat movie was released this afternoon and offered a perfect combination of action, drama and romance. However, he received quite mixed reactions from fans who went to social networks to point out the successes and failures of the Arjun Kapoor , Sanjay Dutt & Kriti Sanon Starrer
Set in 1761, ‘Panipat’ is reportedly about the Maratha empire waging war to protect the land from the invading Afghan ruler Ahmad Shah Abdali. Packed with a lot of action & sword-wielding scenes the trailer proved to be quite the blood bath. In between the gory battle scenes, were some visuals of the grand sets.
Interestingly, Internet users pointed out that a scene from the film was filmed in the same sets that Ashutosh filmed his 2008 movie Jodhaa Akbar that he presented Hrithik Roshan & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in leading roles.
Taking to Twitter they shared photos of both scenes & stating that it was one of the reasons why they had a feeling of déjà vous while watching the trailer.
