CBI searches across the country in cases of bank fraud
NEW DELHI: On Tuesday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted the search in more than 169 locations across the country.
A senior CBI official said the agency is searching around 169 locations across the country, including in Andhra Pradesh , Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, Telengana, Uttarakhand, Dadra and Nager Haveli.
The official said the agency has registered about 35 cases related to bank fraud involving Rs 7,000 million.
However, the official did not reveal the names of the banks or the defendants involved in the case.
This is not the first time that the central research agency has carried out such a massive search operation. He has conducted several similar searches in cases of bank fraud in recent months.
