Study finds that Xiaomi is the largest exclusive brand retail network in India

CHENNAI Xiaomi announced Monday that it has expanded its offline retail network and inaugurated its 2500th Mi Store In India .

The company also said it has become the leader with the largest exclusive brand retail network In India , citing a recent study led by the retail firm and provider of Channelplay channel solutions.

Xiaomi ’s exclusive brand retail network includes Mi Homes, Mi Studios and Mi Stores.

With the latest Mi Store located in Karnataka, Xiaomi India now has Mi Stores present across 790+ cities, providing accessible brand experience to its customers across the nation, the company said.

Serving as an extension of the Mi Homes concept, Mi stores are aimed at gaining brand outreach across tier-3 and beyond towns and districts In India , wherein Mi customers experience and buy Xiaomi products under one roof.

These stores serve as a prime example of Xiaomi’s innovative new retail concept, marrying the brand’s e-commerce efficiency with engaging retail user experience, Xiaomi said.

As per Channelplay’s study , Xiaomi emerged as the largest exclusive brand retail network over other competitors like Samsung India, followed by Cafe Coffee Day, Dominos India and Bata India.

Earlier this year, Xiaomi announced that its online store became the top single brand online smartphone channel as per Counterpoint Research Market Monitor for Q1 2019.

"With Channelplay’s validation for Xiaomi ’s offline retail network - this makes Xiaomi the leading single brand retail network across online and offline market In India ," the company said.

“Post study ing 11 product-based retail industries and around 700 brands, Samsung qualified to be the only close competitor of Xiaomi in terms of exclusive stores," Sundeep Holani, CEO, Channelplay said in a statement.
