The two-day classical dance festival concludes
The residents of the city enjoyed the splendor of the Indian classical dance show festival, 'Nritya Utsav' for two days, on October 30 and 31, organized by Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi in the Tagore theater. Mohiniyattam Jayaprabha Menon's dance and group, a lyrical dance form of kerala It was performed. Revived initially by Maharaja Swathi Thirunal and later by Mshakavi Vallathol, it is the only solo dance form of Kerala, others being from the dance drama tradition.nContribution by the legendary theater personality Padmabhushan Kavalam Narayana Panikker is the introduction of Sopana Sangeetham to Mohiniyattam which gave the art form a new freshness and enriched repertoire. Jayaprabha Menon Mohiniyattam is an A grade artist and empanelled with ICCR and has traveled extensively for performances and also worked with legends like Pt Birju Maharaj Vidushi Sonal Mansingh , Gutys Rajah Radha Reddy, etc.
