IMD forecasts rains for Mumbai next week

MUMBAI: The city can expect some rainy days next week, since () it has forecast moderate to moderate rains for the North Konkan region, which includes Mumbai and adjacent areas such as Thane and Navi Mumbai.

It is likely to rain from moderate to moderate in most places with strong isolated falls over Saurashtra, the Gujarat region, northern Madhya and northern Konkan from November 6 to November 8 in the morning, IMD said.

The nine hours from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm on Saturday saw no rain activity, however, the city had witnessed significant rains in the 24 hours that ended at 8.30 am on Saturday, since the IMD Santa Cruz observatory recorded 46.3 mm and the IMD observatory 15.2 mm. According to the IMD classification, the rain recorded by IMD Colaba falls in the light rain category and IMD Santa Cruz in the moderate rain category.

Meanwhile, despite the heat during the day, maximum temperatures remained below normal on Saturday, as the IMD Colaba observatory recorded maximum temperatures at 32.8 degrees and IMD Santa Cruz at 33.1 degrees.
