NEW DELHI: Services on the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro were affected on Saturday after a crack in the train track was noticed at Indraprastha station. There is a welding defect on the track on a line that runs between Indraprastha and the Blue line stations that connect Vaishali and Noida Electronic City with Sector 21 of Dwarka, said spokesman () Anuj Dayal.
The defect was detected around 8.30 a.m.
Trains are running in the section at a slower caution rate today, Dayal said.

Such defects occur due to changing weather conditions, he said.
Operating trains at restricted speed is a standard practice adopted by the DMRC in such cases. The services are completely safe, the DMRC spokesman added.
