Mamata Banerjee will soon launch a social security plan for media staff
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Mamata Banerjee On Saturday he announced that the state government will soon implement a social security scheme to provide financial assistance to media personnel.
He made the announcement about International Day to end impunity for crimes against journalists that is being observed today.

November 2 is marked as the 'International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists' after a resolution was passed condemning attacks and violence against journalists and media workers in the Assembly Resolution in 2013.
According to the UN, the resolution urged member states to implement definitive measures that counteract the current culture of impunity.
