Madhya Pradesh: 3 dead in road accident in Jaora

INDORE: Three members of a family, including a woman, died and another person was injured when a van they were traveling in got out of control, broke the road divider and collided head-on with a truck in the city of Jaora.

The family from the Piplia area was heading towards Ratlam when the accident occurred near the Manankheda toll booth, police said.

Eyewitnesses claimed that one of the truck's tires exploded causing it to swing out of control, they said it added that it broke the diver and collided with an approaching truck.

The van became shattered metal due to the collision, trapping Bharat, 35, 66, Raju Bai, 55 and Rahul, 27. The police with the help of the villagers, removed the victims from the van and took them to a hospital.

Shankarlal and Rahul died during the treatment, police said.
