AIFF signs memorandum of understanding with the German Football Association
NEW DELHI: The All India Football The Federation (AIFF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its German counterpart, DFB, on Friday.
The signing of the agreement coincided with the German chancellor Angela Merkel The visit of India.
Kushal Das, Secretary General AIFF and Friedrich Curtius, Secretary General DFB, signed the document to formalize the relationship between the two governing bodies of football.

The memorandum of understanding covers a wide range of areas related to Indian football, such as the education of coaches (including grassroots), the search and promotion of talents, the deployment of professional referees to India, the exchange between national teams and the visit of the DFB star team (if possible), joint marketing and sports administration initiatives through discussions about its competition management solutions, AIFF said in a statement.
" Football cooperation among states is also one of the agendas in respective Government's discussion," it added.
Das expressed delight in joining DFB.
It is a great honor for AIFF to enter into this agreement with DFB. I am sure that this will greatly benefit Indian football significantly.
Germany is recognized for its football skills, and the work done by them at the grassroots level stands out. The memorandum of understanding represents a great opportunity to learn from their experience and knowledge through mutual cooperation and collaboration, he added.
