Maharashtra will have the prime minister of Shiv Sena: Sanjay Raut

MUMBAI: Maharashtra will have the prime minister of the Shiv Sena The main leader of the party said on Friday amid a confrontation with ally BJP for sharing first place.

Speaking to reporters here, he said there have not yet been talks between the BJP and the Seine about the formation of the government.

The Maharashtra chief minister will be from the Shiv Sena, he asserted.

There is no ultimatum for the BJP (on government formation). They are great people, said deputy Rajya Sabha.

If the Seine decides, it can obtain the numbers required to form a stable government in Maharashtra, he said.

People have given the mandate to form a government based on the 50:50 formula that was reached in front of the people of Maharashtra, Raut said.

In the newly held state polls, the BJP won 105 seats, while the Seine won 56 in the 288-member assembly.

The party led by Uddhav Thackeray demands the post of prime minister for 2.5 years and the portfolio division at 50:50.

Both lawsuits have been rejected by the BJP, which has insisted that the prime minister will continue to hold the position for the next five years.
