Delhi has an advantage over Bengal in the summit clash

CHENNAI: The end of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 7 will be played between two of the most consistent teams in the competition --- Dabang Delhi & Bengal Warriors. Delhi & Bengal finished in the top-2 of the points table & made their marks in the semifinals before booking their berths in the summit clash.

While there is little to choose between these two in-form teams, Delhi could have an edge going into the clash thanks to their super solid & ever-dependable raider Naveen Kumar. The 19-year-old is in the midst of a dream run & Delhi coach Krishan Hooda is understandably banking on the Bhiwani native to deliver the goods in the all-important final. Naveen will be aiming for his 21st successive Super 10 in the title round. "Naveen has always put his hand up & made his presence felt each time he has played. We hope he will come up with a stellar performance in the final against Bengal Warriors," Hooda told TOI on the eve of the final.

While Naveen has been the star attraction of Delhi this season, the side is not a one-man army as it boasts of sturdy performers such as skipper Joginder Narwal, Vishal Mane & Ravinder Pahal who shore up the defence. The burden on Naveen could be lessened with the raiding skills of Chandran Ranjith. A good mix of defence & offence is what Delhi will be looking for when they take on Bengal in Ahmedabad on Saturday evening.

Hooda believes his side has the necessary arsenal to light up the final. "We have built a team that delivers under pressure & what better opportunity than giving your best performance in a tournament final. We are confident of doing well," said Hooda.
