In this holiday season, balance your calorie intake with these granola bars

The holiday season is synonymous with cheat days due to excessive indulgence in sweets and farsan. At the end of this season, you feel guilty and bloated. Here is a quick and easy granola bar recipe to help you balance everything you overeat.


Crunchy almond and raisin muesli: 230 gm

Honey: 120 gm

Butter without salt (cut into pieces): 56 gm

Light brown sugar: 50 g

Salt: 1/4 teaspoon


Open a package of muesli, lightly toast with a nonstick skillet over low heat. Mix the butter, honey, brown sugar and salt in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until the sugar melts and becomes gummy. In a bowl add the muesli, pour the melted butter, sugar and honey and mix well with a spatula. When the mixture begins to cool, take a striped trey, grease with the remaining butter and pour the mixture. Bake the mixture for 20 minutes at more than 150 degrees Celsius. Remove with a sharp knife cut in a rectangular shape and let it cool.
