Tata Motors global sales fell 32% in August

MUMBAI: Tata Motors The group has recorded a 32 percent decrease in its global wholesale sales with 72,464 units sold in August this year. The figure includes Jaguar Land Rover 's (JLR's) - the UK-based subsidiary of Tata Motors - global sales as well.

Global sales of commercial vehicles (CV) of Tata and the Tata Daewoo range stood at 25,366 units in August, a 45 percent decrease from the same period last year.

Global sales of all major car passenger vehicles reached 47,098 units in August, a 22 percent drop compared to the same month last year.

Worldwide, JLR sold 39,615 vehicles in August of this year. Jaguar's wholesale sales for the month were 10,097 units, while Land Rover's wholesale sales for the month were 29,518 units.
