The Ministry of Skills congratulates trainers of diverse backgrounds on Teacher's Day
New Delhi, September 5 () On the occasion of Teacher's Day, the Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship congratulated on Thursday trainers from various sectors for their contribution to the creation of a workforce prepared for the future.
The movement aimed to motivate and encourage more coaches to join the India Skill Mission.
A total of 53 trainers from diverse backgrounds, including trainers from national vocational training institutes, industrial training institutes and others, were honored on the occasion.
The ministry also announced an annual event 'Kaushalacharya Awards' to recognize the contribution made by trainers in the vocational training ecosystem.
By 2022, it is estimated that India will need around 2.5 lakh of trainers throughout the skill ecosystem.
The Guru-Shishya parampara has been a unique feature of the ancient Indian civilization where our teachers imparted lessons and life skills to the disciples. On this day, we honor our coaches who have imparted their learning to young people and helped shape their careers. The Minister of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship, Mahendra Nath Pandey, said.
Urging the industry to establish more lasting partnerships, the Minister of State for Skills Development and Entrepreneurship Raj Kumar Singh said that industrialization in India has been hampered by a shortage of skilled labor for a long time . We are looking to introduce degree programs for trainers to boost technical education and vocational training in the country, the minister added. RSN SHW SHW
