Churni Ganguly's Tarikh He has triumphed at the Los Angeles Film Awards, winning up to three awards. Earlier, the organizers had sent a mail when the film made it to the semi-finals with 59 other films. When I heard it was among the 15 films in the finals, I didn’t have much hope, ”she said. Churni added if not for her painful breakouts, she would have met the team. “Some of my team members are currently shooting with Kaushik (Ganguly). I would have loved to meet Subhajit, my editor. We used to work till wee hours of the morning and worked really hard, ”she said. Churni added that even though she is happy with the awards, she couldn’t share the news with Arunendu Das, whose song, Eto Chawa Niye Kotha Jai, beautifully sums up the film’s emotional quotient. “I had given me the permission to use the song. My actors rendered it. I wanted it to be casual and if need be, besura, so that it could blend organically into the film. But it turned out so well, ”she said.
