Swiggy launches the 'Swiggy Go' pick-up and delivery service

New Delhi, September 4 () Swiggy food ordering and delivery platform said Wednesday that it launched the 'Swiggy Go' pick-up and delivery service in Bangalore, and plans to expand it to more than 300 cities by 2020.

Swiggy Go is an instant pick-up and delivery service to send packages to anywhere in the city. Like Swiggy Stores, Swiggy Go will be part of the application, the company said in a statement.

Swiggy Go can be used to collect and leave clothes, forget keys, send lunch boxes from home to the office or even deliver documents or packages to customers, he added.

Swiggy also announced the expansion of its Swiggy stores to Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Swiggy's vision is to raise the quality of life of urban consumers by offering unmatched comfort, said Swiggy CEO Sriharsha Majety.

Bengaluru will be the first city in the country to experience Swiggy making the last mile delivery for everything, not just food, he added.

By 2020, we will expand Swiggy Go to more than 300 cities and Swiggy stores to all major meters, which will mark the beginning of a new era of convenience for consumers across India, Majety said.

All deliveries for Swiggy Go and Stores will be made by the dedicated Swiggy fleet. This will give the company's delivery partners access to an additional way to earn revenue, according to the statement.

All delivery partners commit to Swiggy from start to start and receive life, medical and accident coverage, he added. Founded in 2014, Swiggy connects consumers with more than 1,30,000 restaurant partners in more than 325 cities. AKT AKT ANS ANS
