Brett Lee in Ahmedabad for a cause tomorrow

Former Australian cricket player Brett lee I would be in Ahmedabad on Thursday, September 5 to participate in an event. He would be here to raise awareness about hearing loss and the impact it can have on people and their families.

The event where Brett lee would also answer questions from the audience would be organised at National Institute of Design auditorium from 5 pm to 6 pm and would be open only for NID students

Srishti Mitra from NID who is closely associated with coordinating the event told Ahmedabad Times, “Cochlear India manufactures cochlear implants for those having hearing loss and Brett lee has been their global ambassador since 2015. Right now, he is in India and visiting various colleges to create awareness about hearing loss . As part of the same, he would be visiting NID .”


Earlier, a release from the institute said that around 360 million people worldwide suffer from a disabling hearing loss . “Brett has been spearheading a ‘Sounds of Cricket’ campaign to raise awareness of the significant medical, social and economic impacts hearing loss can have on individuals and their families,” it added.
