Hisar-Chandigarh flight service begins

Chandigarh, September 3 () Haryana's chief minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, marked the Hisar-Chandigarh flight service from Hisar airport on Tuesday.

The flight, initiated under the regional connectivity scheme, was approached by Khattar as its first passenger, an official said.

Khattar said SpiceJet would initially provide daily two-flight service between Hisar and Chandigarh. The schedule of flights from Hisar is from 8 a. M. A 4 p. M., And from Chandigarh they are from 9.30 a.m. M. At 5.30 p. M.

The price of a one-way flight from Hisar to Chandigarh has been set at 1,674 rupees per ticket.

After Chandigarh, SpiceJet will gradually expand its air services from Hisar to Delhi, Jammu, Dehradun and Shimla, according to the prime minister.

Today, air travel starts through a small seven-seater plane, Khattar said, adding that 18-seater and larger planes could also fly from the airport later.

He said the early booking process would begin after a week, so SpiceJet had to complete some paperwork.

According to the prime minister, Hisar airport will be developed as an international level airport in three phases. For this, 4,200 acres of land have been made available and the process of providing 3,000 acres of additional land is in progress. The runway length, which is currently 4,000 feet, will increase to 10,000 feet, a criterion required for an international level airport, Khattar said. CHS VSD HMB
