Ganesh Puja held in twin cities
Ganesh puja was celebrated with great greatness and devotion in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Pushpin . The students of the schools and universities organized the festival and worshiped Lord Ganesh, who is believed to be the god of wisdom and knowledge. Different clubs, organizations and individuals also celebrated the Ganesh. Chaturthi in different corners, markets, residential areas and offices.
The city had hundreds of ganesh puja pandals at every nook and corner, decorated beautifully, with enthusiastic young organizers toiling hard to make all arrangements. The puja started at various places from the morning and nearby residents, traders, youngsters and students thronged to these puja pandals to offer prayers.
Chudaghasha, the favorite bhog of the Lord mixed with bundi ladu and rashi ladu, were distributed among the people. “When we were in schools, we used to celebrate Ganesh puja there. Even in college, we used to organize this festival. After leaving university, we had nowhere to go to celebrate this bid. So, the friends got together and we have been organizing Ganesh puja for the past five years. We contribute to our income and collect contributions from the local population, ”said Sudhanshu Senapati, an organizer in the Nayapalli area.
Ganesh puja was celebrated in a big way in Jatani, on the outskirts of the city, along with Chandrashekharpur, Sahid Nagra, Unit-VIII, Laxmisagar, Jharapada, Old Town and Rasulgarh. Some enthusiastic organizers have also added several themes to Ganesh's idol and panda decorations.
The spirit of the festival was affected by heavy rains at night. While the festival was held in many places, some organizers will continue the celebration for three or five days. The bisarjan would take place on Wednesday in many places.
