So, the friends got together and we have been organizing Ganesh puja for the past five years. We contribute to our income and collect contributions from the local population, ”said Sudhanshu Senapati, an organizer in the Nayapalli area.

Ganesh puja was celebrated in a big way in Jatani, on the outskirts of the city, along with Chandrashekharpur, Sahid Nagra, Unit-VIII, Laxmisagar, Jharapada, Old Town and Rasulgarh. Some enthusiastic organizers have also added several themes to Ganesh's idol and panda decorations.

The spirit of the festival was affected by heavy rains at night. While the festival was held in many places, some organizers will continue the celebration for three or five days. The bisarjan would take place on Wednesday in many places.
