Focus on Ishan Kishan in the final of the Duleep Trophy between India Red and India Green

BENGALURU: Ishan Kishan, a ported batter in the form of Isus Kishan, would be the mockery of all eyes when India Red closed the horn against India Green in the final of the Duleep Trophy, starting at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday.

The five-day final, which will be broadcast live, will be played with a pink ball and under lights.

The 21-year-old Jharkhand cricketer, who is among the wicket carriers in focus for national duty, has been in impressive form in recent times. He shined for India 'A' in the first three games of the unofficial ODI series against the visiting team 'A' in South Africa.

And Kishan's performance will be watched with interest, especially after the national teams have hinted to handle the workload of Rishab Pant with a long international season at home ahead.

After appearing in three matches for India 'A' vs SA 'A', Kishan will join the 'Red' for the summit clash.

The Red team, led by the prolific Gujarat starter, Priyank Panchal, has been well served by the evil Indian batter Karun Nair, who has a ton and two points over 90, while the young and talented hitter Rajasthan Mahipal Lomror broke a ton in the final league match against 'Green'.

Himachal hitter Ankit Kalsi also scored a ton in the game against India Blue and would seek to continue his good form.

And Panchal will expect all his fit hitters to score great runs in the summit clash.

Avesh Khan made the stellar turn in the match against 'Green', albeit with the bat, as his blunt hit helped the team secure a career advantage. The 22-year-old Madhya Pradesh player had taken four wickets to help India Red gain the crucial advantage against 'Blue' in his previous game.

And along with the experienced Jaydev Unadkat, Kerala Sandeep Warrier's pacemaker and Varun aaron On a way back, Avesh will pose a tough challenge to India Green batting lineup.

For India Green, led by the two-time winning pattern of the Ranji Trophy of Vidarbha Fazal Fazal Akshath Reddy was among the races, but others would have to step forward if the team has to face a strong side of India Red.

Leg shooter Mayank Markande has replaced Rahul Chahar for the final and will be part of an attack that would include Ankit Rajpoot, Tanveer ul-Haq and Akshay Wakhare.

The weather has not been so good in this part of India so far, with the first two games affected by the rain.
