Malaysian Minister of Education observes Jyotika Raatchasi
In July of this year, that of Gowthamraj Raatchasi starring Jyotika in the lead, hit theaters. The film, which had Jyotika playing a government school headmaster, seems to have struck a chord with Malaysian education minister Maszlee Malik . On a note, he called the film a must see, and it also reflected the situation in his country.
He wrote: “Two months ago, this movie came out. Last night, I saw it with the officials. I will write an article to review this movie. Of course, this movie is a must see. The story is amazing. The character is perfect. It feels different to see (the movie) as minister of education. Each scene reflects the situation in our country.
About Jyotika’s character, Malik said, “Geetha Rani is a very great superhero; she proves to us that the big change is not impossible. There are so many policies and changes that we are planning to do have been successfully described in this film, like the PSP initiative (free breakfast program). This movie translates my aspirations that are more than just food… I would like to see teachers sit and eat together with our children. They’ve also addressed the issue of students dropping out of school Geetha has successfully involved all parties to overcome this issue, including the police. This is what we are working on. We want to make sure that ‘enforcement’ is happening all over the corner so that no child has to drop out. That's not all. Geetha also met all the students ’parents and built a kind of parent and community association to make sure these parents are actively involved in their children's education.”
Malik said: “Making education a collective vision of all parties is one of my greatest wishes. Because I believe that education should be the goal of a local community, a plan that improves and improves your life. I recommend to all educators, parents, students and others this movie.
