Haryana Steelers crush Puneri Paltan 41-27 in PKL

BENGALURU: Vikas Kandola was once again unstoppable as Haryana Steelers crossed to a 41-27 victory against Puneri Paltan in a live Pro Kabaddi Monday game. The stellar assailant earned a Super 10 (11 attack points) as his team surpassed the Pune unit in all departments to jump to the second in the points table.

The match had been announced as an encounter between the hard-fighting Pune side and Haryana's heavy team.

Nitin Tomar began brilliantly for Pune when the five-star assailant produced a 'Dubki' to eliminate the experienced Dharmaraj Cheralathan and Vikas Kandola in the second minute.

Super Tackles, a great source of points in season 7, kept the scores while the game became a cautious issue towards the end of the first half. But two multipoint raids by Vikas Kandola in form forced an All-Out in Pune and handed the impulse to Haryana. Half ended with Haryana leading 18-11.

The Steelers entered the game after three victories in the same number of games and started the second half with renewed energy. Vikas Kandola was at the center of things once again, but Haryana's raid duo Vinay Kumar and Prashanth Kumar Rai were more than a capable support team for Kandola, collecting vital points every time the stellar assailant left.

Haryana imposed another All-Out in Pune with less than 9 minutes remaining in the game for all but to seal the game.
