The JMI fraternity joins the Fit India Movement
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) Vice Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar today marked a walkathon as part of the Indian Fit Movement launched today by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to mark the National Sports Day .n In the vice-rector's leadership, hundreds of students from Jamia's schools and universities, including NSS cadets, teachers, officers and non-teaching staff, walked through various parts of the university campus from gate number 7. The march culminated in the Dr. Auditorio MA Ansari. The students carried the tricolor, banners and banners that showed slogans of the Fit India Movement. They also shouted slogans that promoted fitness and followed a healthy lifestyle. '
At the end of the march, the Vice Chancellor said: “Education requires us to take care of our health. It is the most precious possession of each individual. Health is also the quality of life that allows individuals to live life to the fullest. We have to pay attention to the preservation, promotion and restoration of health through our healthy activities.
Inside the Ansari Auditorium, participants received a promise from Mr. A.P. Siddiqui (IPS), Registrar, JMI to include sports in their daily lives and motivate others to play to keep fit and make a healthy India.
