National billiards: Sethi and Sitwala move to quarterfinals

Mumbai, August 20 () Geet Sethi de Gujarat and Dhruv Sitwala of ONGC enjoyed a quiet navigation while sailing in the quarterfinals round of the MIG Cricket Club organized the third National Billiards Master Championship.

Sethi was in good condition while playing steadily and in pots consistently to eclipse S A Saleem from Tami Nadu by reaching a quick 3-0 victory in a round of 16 match.

The reference sports legend Sethi was quickly established and easily won the first frame.

Saleem managed to fight in the next two frames, but that could not prevent the teacher from singing to a victory by 61-06, 65-35 and 71-65 and a place in the last eight.

Later in the day, left-handed Sitwala did not take the time to find his rhythm and also had a good run when he overcame the challenge of Vishal Gehani of Maharashtra winning in three well-contested 3-0 frames (69-42, 55-30 and 71-27).
