Indian cyclists win historic gold at the Junior Track World Championship
NEW DELHI: Indian men's team composed of Esow Alben , Ronaldo Singh & Rojit singh he created the story on Thursday when they closed the Team sprint gold medal in the World Junior Track Cycling Championships in Frankfurt, Germany. This is India's first gold in a world cycling competition.
The Indian team defeated Australia in the final, registering 44,681 seconds to claim top honors. Britain took home the bronze.

India did not have a good start, as they were behind the first lap for .244 seconds. Making a solid return, the Indian cyclists reduced the gap to 0.030 seconds in Round 2 & then produced a stupendous show in Round 3 to give the nation an apt gift on the occasion of Independence Day by winning a gold medal.
The youth team of Indian men is currently ranked number 2, behind Malaysia.
