Karan Johar acquires the Hindi rights of Dear Comrade
The Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s Telugu hit, Arjun Reddy ’as‘ Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor became one of the highest grosser at the box-office. After its super success, filmmaker Karan Johar has now acquired the Hindi remake rights of the Telugu actor’s recently released film, ‘Dear Comrade’, which is also garnering positive reviews from both the audience and the critics alike.
According to reports, KJo has acquired the rights to redo Hindi by disbursing a whopping Rs 6 crore. Apparently, this is the best paid for the rights of a southern movie.
The report stated that along with Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala, Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Vijay Galani were also bidding. However, it was Karan Johar who got the rights in a whopping of Rs. 6 crore. Reportedly, no remake rights of a South film have ever been sold for such an amount.
Although several names like Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter are making rounds for the main role of the film, Johar recently clarified that no actor has yet been contacted for the film.
Arjun Rampal and Gabriella Demetriades name their baby Arik Rampal
Arjun Rampal and Gabrielle Demetriades became proud parents to their bundle of joy on July 18 and ever since the two have been on cloud nine. Right after a week after the birth of his son, Arjun took to his Instagram handle to share an adorable picture of his bundle of joy along with a heartfelt post.
In the publication, he revealed the name of his little man as Arik Rampal. When Bollywood celebrities reacted to cruelty to a dog in Mumbai
Sonam K Ahuja turned to his Instagram account to get the attention of his followers about an incident of cruelty towards a stray dog that occurred in Worli, Mumbai. Apparently, the dog was beaten mercilessly for taking refuge in a building during heavy rains.
After Sonam shared it on social media, many other Bollywood celebs not only condemned the unfortunate incident but also took it on themselves to spread the word.
The incident occurred on July 24 when a resident, Mr. Bhatia, on the second floor of the Turf View building, next to Vitesse Showroom, Nehru Planetarium in Worli, ordered the guard to beat the dog in such a way that no other animal would dare to enter the premises of the building.
The guards, upon receiving instructions, beat the dog mercilessly and let him suffer in the society complex.
After the video of the incident went viral on social media, Bombay's Animal Rights on July 27 presented a FIR with the Worli police against the two defendants, Mr. Bhatia and the building security guard , under Sections 429 and 34 of the IPC. But at no time was the two men released on bail.
Sanjay Dutt launches the highly anticipated Prasthanam teaser

Remakes have become the order of the day in Bollywood. And the recent ones to join the bandwagon of south remakes is Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming film, ‘Prasthanam’. The actor launched the teaser of the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit by the same name.
The actor plays a politician in the film along with actors such as Ali Fazal, Manisha Koirala, Amyra Dastur and Jackie Shroff in key roles.
Prasthanam, produced by Maanayata Dutt, the political drama is directed by Deva Katta, who also wrote and directed the original film.
The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on September 20, 2019.
Creators of ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ accused of plagiarism
If all the controversies surrounding the protagonist of Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao Judgementall Hai Kya were not enough, the creators of the film were recently accused of plagiarism for copying a design for one of their posters.
Flora Borsi, a Hungarian artist named, has accused the creators of plagiarism for a new poster of the film featuring a cat juxtaposed on the face of Kangana Ranaut. A similar poster of Rajkummar Rao along with a rat is also under the radar. Taking social networks into account, the artist accused the creators of plagiarizing her art. He also shared the original art where a black cat juxtaposes on the face of a girl. He also said that the filmmakers did not ask permission or communicate with her.

She shared that they have mutually decided to separate. However, they will continue to remain friends. She also thanked her family and friends for their support and love. She also emphasised that they both won’t be talking to the media about this matter any further and requested them to respect their privacy.
Sahil and Dia were married in October 2014 after having dated for six long years.
Mirza day rubbishes reports of Sahil Sangha’s affair with Kanika Dhillon
Hours after Mirza day and Sahil Sangha announced their separation on social media, writer Kanika Dhillon announced that she too has parted ways with her husband Prakash Kovelamudi. She also explained that they had separated two years ago in 2017.
