Tehsildar arrested on corruption charges received the best interpreter award 2 years ago

HYDERABAD:, who was arrested on corruption charges by the ACB, received the best award two years ago. On Thursday, the ACB produced Lavanya together with the village income officer M Antaiah before the magistrate and sent them to the judicial prison.

After trapping Antaiah when he took the Rs 4 lakh bribe from the complainant of Lavanya in Kondurgu on Wednesday, the ACB team searched the house of Lavanya in Hayathnagar and confiscated Rs 93.5 lakh in cash and 400 g in gold .

During subsequent searches conducted at his home in Hayathnagar and his hometown in, the ACB team found incriminating evidence. We found 11 notebooks of different people in the private vehicle of defendant Tehsildar. We suspect that the books were in their possession since the owners of the land could not meet their demands. We also found 45 documents related to the properties of private persons, said an ACB official.

During the investigation, ACB detectives discovered that Lavanya won the best tehsildar award two years ago while working at Keshampet. She received the award from Minister Mahmood Ali.
