The action moves to Goa; 14 MLA of Karnataka depart from Mumbai

MUMBAI: Fourteen MLAs of the JD (S) -Congress government ruled left Goa on Monday as a scene of action on the fate of the Regime led by kumaraswamy Changed to the coastal state.

The MLAs, including 10 from Congress, two from JD (S) and two Independents, went to Goa in the evening and are accompanied by MohitBhartiya, president of BJP Yuva Morcha de Mumbai, the sources said.

BJP lawmaker Prasad Lad said the 14 MLAs left the luxurious hotel in the suburbs where they were staying at 5 pm. They are expected to stay at a resort in Goa, the sources said.

Twelve MLAs arrived in Mumbai on Saturday night and two arrived in Mumbai on Monday.

The one-year-old coalition government of the Janata Dal (S) Congress of Karnataka is on the verge of collapse after the avalanche of resignations by the MLA.

The Karnataka Assembly has 225 members, including a nominated MLA. The half-way mark on the 225-member set is 113.

Before the last series of resignations, the Congress had 78 MLA, the JD (S) 37 and the BJP 105. The Congress-JD (S) coalition effectively had the support of 119 MLA in an Assembly where half the way was 113
