LinkedIn appoints Ashutosh Gupta as country manager for India

New Delhi, July 8 () The professional social networking platform LinkedIn Monday said that it designated Ashutosh Gupta as national manager for India, starting on September 2, 2019.

He replaces Mahesh Narayanan, who was country manager for India from January 2019 to June 2019.

Gupta joined the company in 2013 to lead LinkedIn's Marketing Solutions (LMS) business in India, and then moved to Singapore in 2016 to build LMS's Online Sales Organization (OSO) for Asia Pacific and China, He said in a statement.

He has worked with organizations such as Google, Cognizant and Infosys, he added.

India is a strategic market for LinkedIn, and its developing economy and dynamic labor market are mature, with the opportunity for LinkedIn to add value for members and customers, Gupta said.

LinkedIn has more than 630 million members worldwide and more than 57 million users in India.

Gupta will inform Olivier Legrand, LinkedIn managing director for the Asia Pacific region and will join the company's APAC senior management team.
