He will have no objection if Siddaramaiah appointed CM, says the leader of JD (S), GT Devegowda.

BENGALURU: Janata Dal-secular leader and minister of higher education GT Devegowda said on Sunday he would have no objection if the leader of the Congress becomes the prime minister of the state.

If the Coordinating Committee of the JDS-Congress decides to make Siddaramaiah the Chief Minister, I will have no objection, he told reporters.

Devegowda said that if he is told, he is also ready to give up the match.

If my party decides, I'm ready to resign. I'm not going to the BJP. Ours is a coalition government for state improvement, said the JDS leader.

Speaking of the MLA H Vishwanath party, he said: I spoke with H Vishwanath. He told me he would go back to the party.

Vishwanath presented his resignation along with 11 legislators of the JDS-Congress on Saturday. He had claimed that up to 14 MLA have resigned.

Devegowda said Congress was making efforts to save the government in the state.

They have told members that some older people should resign from the Cabinet and give way to others, he said.
