Two bikers stab a woman in Kalyan market

KALYAN: In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old married girl was killed by two young men on bicycles at the APMC market in Kalyan on Thursday. Thane police arrested the main suspect, Babu Dhakni (24), one hour away from the. They are looking for their accomplice who was riding the bicycle.

Anil Powar, assistant commissioner of the police (Kalyan region) said: Prima facie, it seems that there was an angle of love behind the murder, but we are investigating the matter. Police said Dhakne, who is also from Ulhasnagar, said he loved the woman and was upset when he rejected his proposal to divorce and marry him, so he decided to kill her.

The CCTV cameras captured the woman standing next to her at the APMC market at 4:30 pm. In a matter of minutes, Dhakni's bicycle stops next to her. He and his friend stab her several times and then flee on her bicycle. Passersby alerted Bazarpeth police who took the woman to the Fortis hospital, but she died during the treatment. Dattatrey Karale, additional commissioner of the police (Thane), formed six teams to catch the accused. The police searched the victim's phone and managed to locate Dhakni in one hour.
