Now, MLA Congress assaults a government official in Maharashtra
MUMBAI: Police have registered an FIR against MLA Nitesh Rane for assaulting and spilling mud on him near Mumbai-Goa on Thursday.
Nitesh, son of the former prime minister of Maharashtra Narayan Rane , and his supporters threw mud at an engineer while inspecting the road for bumps.
It was reported that Rane was upset with the engineer because of the poor condition of the road.
The video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows supporters of Rane throwing mud buckets on Prakash Shedekar on a bridge near the road in Kankavali. Later they tried to tie the engineer to the bridge.
In the video, you can hear Rane threatening the engineer and saying: Should I show you how we get dirty in the mud? You're wearing clean clothes, you came in an air-conditioned car and we're here in the trash.
Then he points to the mud and says to his supporters: Pull this over your head ... now you understand ... Now I'll show you ... I'll take you in my car and throw you into the mud.
After outrage from all quarters against the incident, Nitesh's father Narayan Rane said, I have told him that it is wrong, we will apologize to the government official.
The incident comes days after BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya, son of the main leader Kailash Vijayavargiya, was caught by the camera when attacking a civil official in Indore with a cricket bat.
