Punjabi rapper, Honey Singh, accommodates lewd lyrics
Popular punjabi rapper Honey Singh has again courted a controversy over the lascivious lyrics in his new song 'Makhna'.
Manisha Gulati, president of the Punjab Women's State Commission, said she had written to the Director General of Police to register a criminal case against the singer for using lyrics such as Mein hoon womanizer.
It requires a legal action and an investigation to be initiated by the police in the matter as the song prepared by the president of the series T Bhushan Kumar and singers Honey Singh and Neha Kakkar he uses vulgar words against women, he said in a statement.
She said that the Commission has sought the status report of the police officers until July 12 in this regard.
Demanding a ban on the song, he said it is indecent and has a degrading influence on society.
The rapper in 2013 was involved in a controversy over the lyrics of his song 'Main hoon balatkari (I am a rapist)'.
Even the Supreme Court of Punjab and Haryana ordered the Punjab government to present a case against Honey Singh for singing vulgar songs.
He had also said that singers like Honey Singh should be boycotted, since their songs make us ashamed.
