The Telugu version of the Hollywood movie The Lion King is ready to appear on the screens around the world on July 19, 2019. Before the premiere of the film, the presenters of The Lion King presented their trailer of the Telugu version , which will be viral for the intriguing plot and high-end visual effects .
Tollywood stars Nani , Ravi Shankar, Jagapathi Babu, Ali and Brahmanandam , lent their voice to the characters for their Telugu dubbed version. Walt Disney Pictures has tied the actors of the film, starring Donald Glover as Simba, JD McCrary as young Simba, Seth Rogen as Pumba, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Alfre Woodard as Sarabi, Billy Eichner as Timon, John Kani as Rafiki , John Oliver as Zazu, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala and James Earl Jones as Mufasa.
Nani, who has become popular in Tollywood with several blockbuster hits such as Ala Modalaindi, Pilla Zamindar, Eega, Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, Gentleman, Majnu, Nenu Local and Jersey, has infused life to the voice of Simba, a lion who is the crown prince of the Pride Lands, voiced by Donald Glover in the English version.
Ravi Shankar, a popular artist and voice actor, has lent his voice to Mufasa, Simba's father, voiced by James Earl Jones in the original version. Jagapathi Babu, known for his versatile roles in films like Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, Rangasthalam, Srimanthudu and Legend, was the voice behind Scar, the treacherous brother of Mufasa, with Chiwetel Ejiofor's voice in the English version.
The studio has also approached Ali and Brahmanandam to lend their voices to Timon, a wise-cracking meerkat and Pumbaa, a slow-witted common warthog respectively. Telugu buffs are so excited to have such veterans and A-list actors come together to voice and bring alive these beloved characters making it like a high-scale telugu movie .
