Former MCA Management Committee Member Navin Shetty Helps Gardeners

MUMBAI: Aid continues to reach city gardeners, who have been out of work since emergency shutdown it started.

Sunday, ex Mumbai Cricket Association Member (MCA) Navin Shetty he distributed rations to the land keepers, or maalis of the maids Cross, Azad, Oval, and Matunga. Early and talented young man Yashasvi Jaiswal and members of the MCA Apex Council Nadeem Memon and Vigang Sarnaik have also distributed food to these maalis.

Meanwhile, lend a hand, an initiative led by the former BCCI referee Ganesh Iyer to help needy local umpires and scorers during the emergency shutdown , started making its fifth tranche of payouts to the concerned people from Saturday. As oart fo the fifth payout, 29 umpires and scorers have each been given Rs 11,000 so far plus a set of monthly provision required for a family, three match officials have each been given Rs 9,000 so far plus a set of monthly provisions, 16 match officials have been given Rs 7500 each, 14 match officials have been given Rs 5000 each.

Total disbursements so far are Rs 5.36000.
