94-year-old woman recovers from Covid-19 in Maharashtra
SANGLI: A 94-year-old woman was released from Miraj Hospital in Sangli on Thursday after fully recovering from Covid-19.
The nonagenarian is a resident of the Kameri village. Hospital doctors and nurses applauded the woman while she was being discharged from the hospital.
We met this patient while performing a follow-up contact of a Covid-19 positive patient. His swabs tested positive for Covid-19. We treat her in the hospital and we also take good care of her and today she is completely healed. Dr. Nodal Officer said.
A staff member looked after her like her own grandmother. According to me, she is the first non-Argentine woman to recover from Covid-19, she added.
The woman has been transferred to institutional quarantine from the isolation room for 14 days.
Maharashtra is the most affected state due to Covid-19.
According to the (MoHFW), there are 27,524 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the state, including 6,059 patients who have recovered and 1,019 people who have died from the infection.
