The CAB will convene a meeting to discuss tournament-related issues for the 2019-2020 season

KOLKATA (West Bengal): The Bengal Cricket Association (CAB) said Thursday that it will convene a meeting in the last week of this month via video conference to discuss issues related to CAB tournaments for the 2019-2020 season.

"In view of the unprecedented situation arising out of the prevailing pandemic which has disrupted normal life, it has been decided to convene meeting(s) of the Senior Tournament and the Tours, Fixtures and Technical Committees of The Bengal Cricket Association in the last week of this month via video conferencing to take stock of the situation and to discuss matters relating to the CAB Tournaments for the 2019-2020 season," CAB President, Avishek Dalmiya and honorary secretary, Snehasish Ganguly he said in a statement.

The statement also indicated that after the aforementioned meetings, the Association would convene a meeting of the Apex Council.

In addition, CAB said that the Office Carriers unanimously decided that the Association would take various cost-cutting and austerity measures to minimize non-cricket expenses in the coming days.
