Former member of the Atalanta Rinaldi academy dies of brain aneurysm

MILAN: A series club Atalanta paid tribute to the former youth team midfielder Andrea Rinaldi who died Monday after suffering a brain aneurysm.

The 19-year-old fell ill on Friday while training at his home in Como, in northern Italy, and died in Varese hospital.

Rinaldi came through Atalanta 's youth system after joining the Bergamo club at the age of 13, playing through to the U19 side.

He won a Scudetto U17 and Italian Super Cup in the outfit and was loaned this season to Legnano of the fourth level of Serie D, just outside Milan.
