Arzani aims for Netherlands to switch to kickstart club career
Australia forward Daniel Arzani He hopes to revive his injury-battered club career with a move to the Netherlands when his loan period at Celtic ends, the 21-year-old said.
Arzani, who joined the Scottish side with an extended loan of Manchester city In August 2018, he suffered a knee ligament injury within 23 minutes of his Celtic first team debut and has made an appearance this season after returning.
With the suspension of the Scottish Premier League due to the COVID-19 pandemic and his loan slated to end in June, Arzani has a fresh start next season.
Holland arises because it is a selling league and they develop a lot of really good talent, Arzani told The World Game. But they are not the only league that has done that.
It has been a very tough season the last two seasons for me. Celtic has been tough, there are a lot of good people and it is a good club, but the most important thing is the playing time and I was not understanding that.
I was getting frustrated with injuries and things like that, and the most important thing now is to look ahead and go somewhere, I think I will have playing time.
Arzani said he was in optimal condition working with a personal physical therapist and Socceroos chief of strength and conditioning Andrew Clark monitoring their progress.
There is no point in looking at the past and the negative things that have happened ... The goal is to stay in Europe and give it a try, he added.
