Pak's army resorts to firing along the LoC in Poonch; Indian soldiers retaliate
JAMMU: On Wednesday, it resorted to firing at frontal areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in two sectors of the Jammu district and causing retaliation by Indian soldiers, a defense spokesman said.
At around 1540 hours today, the Pakistani military initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing small arms throughout the LoC, the spokesman said, adding retaliation accordingly.
Cross-border shelling between the two sides was taking place when the latest reports were received, authorities said.
However, there was no immediate report from any victim.
Villagers throughout the LoC in Rajouri, Poonch and Kupwara have been gripped by fear since three civilians were killed last week in the Pakistan bombing.
