Virat Kohli and Steve Smith approach the game differently: Ajinkya Rahane

NEW DELHI: India Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane pattern filled praise Virat Kohli and the Australian hitter Steve Smith while talking about his batting experience alongside the two stalwarts of the current generation.

Rahane explained that both Smith and Kohli, currently ranked No. 1 and No. 2 respectively in the ICC Test rankings, are excellent hitters, but their approach to the game is very different.

They are both very good players. Virat's style is very different ... Steve's style is completely different. They approach the game very differently, Rahane said.

Under normal circumstances, Rahane would have been currently playing for his new franchise. Capitals of Delhi in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the tournament was postponed by the BCCI.

Rahane also spoke about his return to white ball cricket, which could have been helped if he had a good IPL this year. But with the cash-rich league procrastinated, his hope remains balanced.
