Army chief visits formations under eastern command
KOLKATA: With the necessary protection against Covid-19, including a face mask, the army chief, General M M Naravane, toured various formations during the past two days. During their two-day visit, the training leaders briefed the Training Chief in detail on their operational readiness. Important training and logistics issues were also discussed. General Naravane also inspected various facilities established by the Army in his effort to contribute to the nation's fight against Covid-19, a senior official said.
He praised the high state of operational readiness as well as the training standards and urged all ranks to continue the good work in these difficult times. Thousands of soldiers are deployed to remote and harsh front areas throughout the country's northeastern states under the Eastern Command.
