Mobile Internet suspended in Kashmir as Hizbul commander Riaz Naikoo caught in encounter
SRINAGAR: Internet services were suspended on Wednesday after the terror group's commander, along with another militant, was caught in a meeting with security forces in the Pulwama district, authorities said.
The mobile has been suspended as a precautionary measure, they said.
The shooting started among security forces in the Beighpora area of Pulwama district in southern Kashmir, a police spokesman said.
Last night, the police launched an operation at a specific entrance in Beighpora. Senior officers have been monitoring him since last night, he said.
The spokesman said contact with the militants was established and that a senior terrorist commander is trapped, not to mention his name.
